Ashley Ellis, PharmD, MBA, CDECS

Dr. Ellis graduated with a PharmD from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 2007 and completed a PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency at Shenandoah University. She has held academic positions at Shenandoah University and the University of Mississippi, where she was involved in clinical practice in the medically underserved Mississippi Delta. Dr. Ellis launched a consulting and MTM business for independent pharmacies, growing it across four states and 44 pharmacies. She later co-founded an independent pharmacy in Mississippi. She then worked in preventative medicine within a large primary care practice, before joining a virtual care company in Tennessee, as Vice President of Clinical Operations. There, she oversaw chronic care management, diabetes prevention, and remote patient monitoring. In 2021, Dr. Ellis earned an Executive MBA in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Tennessee Haslam College of Business. She now serves as Assistant Dean for Strategic Partnerships and Innovation at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy based on the Memphis campus, and Director of Practice Innovation for the Tennessee Heart Health Network.
