Artangela Henry, DNP, AGACNP-BC, FNP-C
Dr. Artangela Henry is a nurse practitioner, assistant professor, disease state advocate and healthcare
consultant strategist. She has clinical experience in internal medicine, acute care services and
underserved outpatient population centers. Her focus is preventative care, management, and
research of sickle cell disease in the adult population. She has over fifteen years of experience
in the healthcare field with the most recent years being devoted to understanding and
educating on the natural history of sickle cell disease and involvement as co-investigator in
clinical research.
Dr. Henry has been recognized in the community as a Sickle Cell Disease subject matter expert. She
holds a number of accolades to include the American Heart Association Woman of Impact Honoree
(2022), Sickle Cell Consortium Healthcare Hero (2021), Tennessee Nurses Association Nurse Spotlight
(2020-2021), Top 40 Under 40 Urban Elite Professional Awardee (2019) and UTHSC Inaugural Advanced
Practice Nurse Hero Awardee (2019) just to name a few. She is grateful for her husband and two
children who supports her initiatives of pouring into the community.
