Diana D Dedmon, Diana Dedmon, DNP, FNP-BC, Assistant Professor, Director of Clinical Affairs and Michael Carter Endowed Professor for the College of Nursing at UTHSC
Diana Dedmon, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, joined the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Nursing faculty in November of 2019 after working as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in a family practice setting for most of her 30-year nursing career. Her primary focus at UTHSC is to develop a faculty practice program that allows faculty to engage in practice in underserved areas of West Tennessee.
Throughout her career, she has been given the privilege to provide primary care services and emotionally connect with patients and their families in rural and underserved areas of West Tennessee. She feels fortunate to have worked with many great mentors along the way.
Diana is currently engaged with several grant funded initiatives that offer increased access to healthcare and health education to patients throughout rural West Tennessee.
Diana is a member of the Rural Health Association of Tennessee, Tennessee Nurses Association, National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties, the Mobile Healthcare Association and American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
