ARCHIVED 8/18/23 CHIPS Module 2: Simulation Design
The Center for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Simulation has created a series of modules to serve as simulation professional development opportunities.
In module 2, " Simulation Design", the best practice strategies for simulation case design are presented. Content includes design strategies for manikin-based simulation case design, Simulated Patient methodology case design and procedural-based case design simulation activities.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this module, learners will be able to:
identify the critical elements of simulation clinical scenario design
implement the needs assessment process prior to scenario design
create SMART learner objectives/ outcomes
understand the NLN Jeffries Simulation theory
discuss factors which impact simulation scenario design
