Amanda Linz, MD, MS, FAAP
Amanda is the division chair of pediatric palliative care and holds a clinical position at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. She completed medical school training at UAMS in Little Rock in 2009. She then completed her pediatrics residency at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City in 2012. This was followed by fellowship training in pediatric hematology/oncology at OU from 2012-2015.
Amanda moved to Memphis for her hospice and palliative medicine fellowship in 2015 and completed that training in 2016. She then completed a research fellow year at St Jude the following year. She moved back to Oklahoma City and served with a joint appointment in pediatric oncology and palliative care for two years before moving back to Memphis in 2019.
Amanda has helped teach in the Principles of Clinical Medicine Course since 2020 where she helps with OSCE organization, case review and SP training.
Her area of research interest is teaching effective medical communication.
