Dr. Jane Hankins is a member of the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the director of the Global Hematology Program at her institution. Dr. Hankins’ research interests include the application of implementation and dissemination science methods to improve the transition from pediatric to adult care and the use of hydroxyurea therapy. Dr. Hankins has many years of experience running clinical trials for sickle cell disease. She implemented a lifetime cohort study to better understand the role of clinical and genetic predictive factors in the progression of sickle cell disease, SCCRIP.
