April Rhine, Sickle Cell Advocacy Speaker
April Rhine is an advocate who advocates for the Sickle Cell community. April believes that advocating for the sickle cell community not only helps her find her voice but also hopes to make living with sickle cell better for the younger generations. She has volunteered with the Sickle Cell Foundation of Tennessee for 17+ years, in addition to being a mentee for the transitioning to adult care mentorship program April has also attended several Sickle Cell conferences and summits to further educate herself in this disease. April won the Lois DeBerry volunteer of the year award. She holds A.A.S degrees in Computer Engineering as well as Electrical Engineering from Southwest Tennessee Community College but her passion is in advocacy.
