Dr. Abdu is an Assistant Professor at UTHSC as part of the volunteer faculty.  He completed Medical School at the Medical University of South Carolina.  First trained as a Family Physician in the US Army, honorably discharged and a recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal, he went on to complete a second residency in OB/GYN at The University of TN Health Science Center, Chattanooga.  He then completed Fellowship Training in Minimally Invasive GYN Surgery.  HE practices in Memphis, TN with a focus on diagnosis and management of chronic pelvic pain, robotic and traditional laparoscopic surgery, and Urogynecology.
