Dr. Jason Yaun is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics here at UTHSC. He is the Outpatient General Pediatrics Division Chief and the Medical Director of the ULPS General Pediatrics Clinic. Dr. Yaun was born and raised in Memphis, completing medical school and residency training at the University of Tennessee before joining the faculty here in 2013.

In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Yaun is involved with resident education, as an Associate Program Director for our residency program, clinical research, and advocacy. He has published literature on early childhood literacy promotion, clinical based vaccine promotion quality improvement efforts, and is currently the medical director for a grant funded clinical study, the Family Resilience Initiative, designed to address adverse childhood experiences and social determinants of health in the outpatient setting.  He is the current President of the Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Yaun serves on the boards of Books from Birth Shelby County and Literacy Mid-South in the community.
