Jennifer Tourville, DNP
Jennifer Tourville is a native to East Tennessee. She hold a Doctor of Nursing practice degree from Vanderbilt University and continues to work with newborns as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Her former role with UT was as faculty at the UT Knoxville College of Nursing. Her current role with UT is as the Executive Director of the SMART (Substance Misuse and Addiction Resource for Tennessee) Initiative for the Institute for Public Service. Programs under the SMART Initiative include the SMART Policy Network, the Collegiate Recovery Initiative, and Local Outreach. Dr. Tourville also advises student research related to neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome, serves on various substance use related tasks forces, and co-directs a HRSA Rural Communities Opioid Response Program grant program.
