Motivational Interviewing for Communities
This CE offering is a one-hour training designed to help healthcare professionals build practical communication skills that encourage behavior change. The course introduces the foundational principles of motivational interviewing and teaches core techniques such as open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening, and summaries. Participants learn to recognize and respond to ambivalence, promote “change talk,” and apply motivational interviewing strategies in real-world settings to enhance client engagement and improve health outcomes.
