Older Adult's Use of Telemedicine During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Use of telemedicine in homes increased exponentially during the first few months of the COVID-19 pandemic due to stay-at-home orders. Many health systems and outpatient cardiology clinics that had never conducted virtual visits implemented telemedicine visits for older adults living with heart failure for the first time. The overall purpose of this presentation is to discuss the outcomes of our Patient Centered Outcomes Research grant that compared telemedicine and in-person visits during the COVID-19 pandemic in older adults living with heart failure.
