Parker Harris was raised east of Memphis in Jackson, TN. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Memphis with an undergraduate degree in accounting. During undergraduate training and shortly thereafter, Parker worked and trained at a tax accounting firm. He returned to the University of Memphis for a Master of Health Administration degree. During Masters training, he interned under the Senior Leadership team at Baptist- Memphis. Upon graduation, Parker joined the Baptist Memorial Healthcare System in a full-time role and completed a fellowship-training program. The training program is labeled the “Groner Fellowship” and is one of the most elite administrative fellowship programs in the country. Harris was the 71st fellow in the program.
Upon completion of the Groner fellowship, he has served in an administrative role leading the organization in mergers, acquisitions and integration. During this role, Harris led efforts to integrate the Mississippi Baptist Health System into the Baptist Memorial Health Care System. This integration added 4 hospitals to the 18 existing locations, bringing the system total to 22 facilities in 2017.
In 2018, Harris helped transition the assets and operations of McKenzie Regional Hospital in McKenzie, Tennessee, to Baptist Memorial Healthcare System from the for-profit operator Quorum.
In 2019, Parker assumed the role of CEO and Administrator of Baptist Memorial Hospital- Tipton and the Baptist Cancer Center locations in the State of Tennessee. These combined operations total 17 locations across the state of Tennessee and includes just shy of 600 employees.
In 2025, Parker assumed an additional role as the Baptist Corporations System Service Line Administrator over Oncology.
In his free time, he enjoys boating and fly fishing with his wife and three small children.
