Dr. Lefler is a Professor in the College of Nursing and holds the endowed Professorship in Women’s Cardiovascular Health. Dr. Lefler is nationally recognized for her work as a Culture of Health Nurse Leader for the Robert W. Johnson Foundation, Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing as well as the American Heart Association. She obtained her Ph.D. from UAMS and Postdoctoral training from the John A. Hartford Foundation. Dr. Lefler has been awarded more than $7 million in combined grant funding from the NIH, PCORI, Hartford Foundation, and others.
