Navigating Caregiver Advocacy

This is the education for the Mid-South Chapter of the Society of Pediatric Nurse to learn how to support action to improve pediatric caregiver support. 

Target Audience

Nurses

Learning Objectives

The learners will understand the disability-related needs of individuals with disabilities, their families, and the professionals who support them. 

Learners will identify the outcome of the vote for the Paid Family Caregiving Part 1 Bill

Learners will identify the number of family caregivers in Tennessee reporting 14 or more days of poor mental health, and 14 or more days of poor physical Health

Learners will indicate Tennessee’s rank nationally in the availability of home health care workers, with only 23 workers per 1,000 residents.

Learners will identify Tennessee’s rank in the amount of support that it offers to family caregivers.
